Why a Dissertation Blog?

One of my professional goals every year is to try and incorporate new technologies into my courses. A couple years ago I decided to have students create a Dissertation Blog. The Dissertation Blog  contains information related to a student's dissertation, whether it is an article review, a description of the problem statement, ideas for data collection and potential participants, information from discussion posts, essentially whatever the student wants. It gives students a place that contains all the information related to their dissertation topic. Students are required to publish their blogs and update them as often as possible. As a requirement of the MOI course students are required to post four times throughout the semester. It is hoped that by publishing the information, others will comment on the blogs, and provide valuable information on the topic. Please feel free to share you comments, suggestions, or experiences!!!
